The Fiscal Year 2019 grant forecast from the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) includes a new Hepatitis B Demonstration Program. According to the forecast posted last month, OMH anticipates awarding up to 7 grants to collaborative partnerships between community-based organizations (CBOs) serving communities at risk, such as health departments, perinatal hepatitis B programs, and Community Health Centers that have capacity to scale-up testing and care services that will help us ultimately reach the national goal of eliminating hepatitis B in the United States. OMH estimates that program funding for these demonstration projects will total $3 million. The Notice of Funding Opportunity is anticipated in late December with applications due in late March. Funded projects would begin July 1, 2019. For more information and to subscribe to notices, visit the Grants.gov page about the opportunity.
